About Leigh Schlumper

Commercial real estate experience grounded in the community she knows best.

Leigh Schlumper is the Founder and Principal Broker of 1828 Property Group, bringing more than a decade of commercial real estate experience in and around Coweta County.

Her work has spanned commercial sales and leasing, landlord and tenant representation, property strategy, rezoning, and the many decisions that come before and after a transaction. Combined with her experience in local government, Leigh brings clients a perspective that extends beyond the deal itself to the larger forces shaping how Newnan and Coweta County grow.

Rooted in the Market

Leigh has spent her career working with the properties, businesses, owners, and decision-makers that shape this part of Georgia.

She has helped property owners navigate commercial transactions and rezoning matters, advised clients through complex real estate decisions, and worked with businesses searching for the right space to support their next stage of growth.

That experience has given her a practical understanding of the local market that cannot be recreated from a spreadsheet alone. She understands the history behind a property, the direction of a corridor, the realities of local development, and the relationships that often matter just as much as the numbers.

A Broader View of Growth

Leigh's perspective on commercial real estate was also shaped by her service as a Coweta County Commissioner.

That experience gave her firsthand exposure to local planning, zoning, development, infrastructure, and the conversations that influence how a community changes over time.

It also reinforced a belief that commercial real estate decisions carry consequences beyond an individual property. The right development, tenant, business, or investment can contribute to the long-term strength and character of a community.

Today, that broader perspective informs the counsel she brings to 1828 clients.

“I've spent my career helping this community grow the right way. 1828 is the natural next step: a brokerage built entirely around the place I know best.”

From Property to Possibility

For Leigh, representing commercial property begins with understanding what the client is actually trying to accomplish.

Sometimes that means positioning an asset for sale. Sometimes it means finding the right tenant, evaluating an acquisition, securing space for a growing business, or helping an owner understand the possibilities surrounding a property.

Her approach combines transactional experience with long-term thinking, helping clients consider not only what can be done today, but what makes sense for the property, the business, and the market over time.

The goal is straightforward: give clients the local knowledge, candid guidance, and disciplined representation they need to make confident decisions.

Building 1828

Leigh founded 1828 Property Group to create a commercial brokerage built specifically around Newnan, Coweta County, and the surrounding west Georgia market.

The name itself comes from the year Newnan was incorporated, reflecting the firm's belief that lasting value is built through place, relationships, and trust.

As Qualifying Broker, Leigh leads the firm's licensed brokerage activities and oversees the professional standards behind its real estate work. She also works closely with the 1828 leadership team to guide the firm's strategy, client relationships, and long-term direction.

Her vision for 1828 is not to become the biggest brokerage covering the widest possible territory.

It is to become the firm people think of first when commercial real estate decisions need to be made here.
